Hello, all! It's been a minute. My senior year of high school has started off with a busy schedule and many activities to lead. However, I am back! I thought it would be fitting to give you an update on what's been going on in my life. I have started new adventures and been given exciting opportunities, making me even more excited for what the future has in store.
In August, I was offered to be the creative and social intern for a clothing brand called Flowers and Gray. Of course I accepted! It has been such an incredible experience. I've rebranded their Instagram, improved their aesthetic, directed photo shoots, and more. This month, I'll be attending an event in Chicago with my boss and I know it will be such an amazing time. I'll be sure to take some photos from that day to make into a blog post!
I am one of the dance captains for my show choir group, and boy has that been keeping me occupied (and frankly, quite stressed)! It is very rewarding, though, when you teach a group of people something and it is understood and accomplished. The other dance captain and I work really well together and tend to stay on the same page about everything. I'm so grateful to be learning so many new things with her!
I've already been accepted to my dream college, the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in Los Angeles, CA. I will be majoring in Social Media and after I obtain my Associates degree in that, my goal is to attend LIM College in NYC and major in Fashion Media. My dream is to work for a fashion magazine someday! When I got the phone call and found out I was accepted to FIDM, it was the most gratifying feeling. I had put my everything into the entrance project, so knowing that all of that hard work paid off was so relieving. I have looked at the classes I'll be taking and I am so thrilled to attend them. It's going to be a whole new world! With college comes loans, scholarships, and saving every penny I have. I have already started searching for scholarships that I'm qualified for and have been making folders in my Google Drive account to work on them. Fingers crossed that I'll receive some of them!
That's everything that's been happening in my life lately! Now that it's my senior year and I have more free time during the school day, I am putting in a conscious effort to be on my blog more and update it frequently! We're in the midst of October (aka, spooky season) and I hope everyone has been enjoying the many fall activities they have to offer!
