What I'm Listening to This November

For the past three and a half years, I have been making monthly Spotify playlists, where I combine my favorite songs of the month together. I do not remember why I started doing it that way, but since the summer of 2016, it is what I have done every single month. Sometimes I will scroll way down and listen to an old playlist of mine. It often brings me back to that time in my life. I love how such clear memories can be connected with specific songs. I still can picture exactly where I was when listening to "18" by One Direction for the first time, or how I now correlate the song "22" by Taylor Swift with the time I blasted it while driving down the coast to Santa Cruz one summer. Music will always be my favorite form of art and I am so amazed on how certain tunes can affect people. It is simply breathtaking. (This is why I still dream of becoming a singer and songwriter... maybe one day it will be an official side hustle.) Anyway, I thought it would be fun to share the songs I have put into this month's playlist to give you all a taste of what kind of music I am currently into! Also, if you ever have ANY - and I mean ANY - song suggestions, please please please send them my way either on Instagram or Twitter (both are @tyrahdae). I love discovering new tunes and artists!
"Lights Up" by Harry Styles
"Fake Heartbreak" by Audrey MiKa
"Cruel Summer," "I Think He Knows," & "Death By A Thousand Cuts" by Taylor Swift
"State of Grace" by Taylor Swift
Intermission to apologize (but not really) for the abundance of Taylor Swift songs. Continue on...
"Falling" by LÉON
"1950" by King Princess
"It's Not The Same Anymore" by Rex Orange County
You can easily find all of these songs by visiting the link to my November playlist here. I tend to add more songs to my playlists as the month proceeds, so if you like the ones I have featured here, be sure to check back on my playlist every so often to find new songs! Thank you for taking time to read my blog, be sure to come back and visit once in a while (or every few days... I will be making an effort of posting articles more frequently!).
