The 8 Products Under $40 That Saved My Skin

Skincare has always been prioritized in my daily routines. I have struggled with acne and breakouts since middle school, so I've had years to figure out what works and what doesn't (and trust me, I'm still figuring it out). I wanted to highlight some products that I've noticed to significantly help my skin in various ways because, even though I have no where near perfect skin, it is something that I'm asked about quite frequently!

1. Glossier Exfoliating Solution - $24

I swear by this Glossier product, as it is the one thing that has helped to quickly clear my skin and keep it that way. My skin has always been really sensitive to exfoliants in the form of scrubs and my pores would get clogged without using any kind of exfoliator, so when this product came into existence, I knew I had to give it a try (and I'm so glad that I did). This exfoliator is chemically based, so it acts more as a toner while still getting the job done. Luckily, it doesn't dry out my skin at all, so I'm able to use it twice a day (once in the morning and once at night). If you're looking for a toner/exfoliator/holy grail skincare product, this is the one I will always recommend.

2. Jade Facial Roller - $30

I used to think facial rollers were a total waste of money and a complete scam... until I tried one for myself. Treat your face to a massage each morning and night with a cooling facial roller. This tool is the ultimate depuffer - I can't get through my skincare routine without it. There are many different kinds of facial rollers on the market, do your research and find the one that best suits you and your budget!

3. Supergoop! Superscreen Daily Moisturizer - $38

I used to be pretty bad about wearing SPF daily. With Supergoop!'s SuperScreen Daily Moisturizer, I don't even have to worry about it anymore. The moisturizer contains SPF 40 and doesn't make my face look too greasy throughout the day. I bring the moisturizer down to my neck and chest to get full coverage and protection. I may not notice an immediate difference in my skin now, but as I age, my skin will thank me for the preparation I've done.

4. Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay Mask - $8

This is one of the best and most affordable masks on the market. I suggest also buying apple cider vinegar to mix with the clay powder instead of water, as it turns into a much nicer and smoother paste. This mask instantly makes my skin feel so smooth and it improves its texture with each use. I have also noticed that my skin has been starting to clear up even more since using this mask. Save your money and opt for this skincare product that's under $10!

5. Mario Badescu Drying Lotion - $17

This is the ultimate spot treatment. This works best at night, as you spot treat the pimple and leave it to dry overnight. When I wake up the next morning, the pimple's appearance is much less noticeable. I don't use this every single night, as I don't want to dry out my skin too much, but it is definitely good to use when you have an irritating breakout.

6. Philosophy Purity Cleanser - $24

Philosophy's Purity Cleanser has been my go-to since the beginning of high school. It is the best makeup remover and is made with simple, clean ingredients that get the job done. The cleanser doesn't make my skin feel too dry after using it either, which is always a plus!

7. Silicon Lil' Scrubbies Facial Cleansing Pad - $2.50

Sometimes I like to use this in the shower with my Philosophy Purity Cleanser, just to give my skin a gentle yet effective deep clean. It doesn't irritate my skin whatsoever! This is the one exfoliating tool I've ever been happy with, but I still prefer to use it in moderation.

8. Blaq Eye Mask - $27 for 5 pack

Okay, this eye mask hasn't necessarily "saved" my skin, but it sure makes it feel nice and refreshed! I always wake up with puffy eye bags, so when the facial roller just isn't doing it for me, I put a nice eye mask on. These always make my under eye area feel so hydrated and smooth afterward - I'm obsessed.

What skincare product can you not live without? I would love to hear your recommendations! Fill me in by leaving a comment under this post. I can't wait to hear from you!
